Reconstruction of window openings and installing new window sashes.
The client’s the original windows had been replaced with low cost vinyl. That just isn’t a very nice thing to do to an old house.
After sourcing sashes from a group in Indiana, he needed a skilled craftsman to install them.
The project included removing the old windows and materials damaged during the previous installation. Then, starting from the framing, building new window openings, counterweight pockets, sills, stools, jambs, and casing.
The job was particularly challenging as all work had to be done from the inside so as not to disturbing the stucco exterior finish.

Additionally, this door from salvage was refinished and hung in a new opening to a small closet.
